‘tis the season for antique whites and fresh metallics, burgundy fronds and rough-woven rugs. Why not experiment with this season’s jewel toned accessories like our Ribbed Votives particularly on-trend in our petrol teal. If you like the colour itself, try our gorgeous chalk paint in Bergen, it’s the perfect way to give your furniture an on-trend-refresh). If votives aren’t for you, why not take a look at our ribbed, jewel toned baubles. They, of course, look stunning on a Christmas tree but also look lovely displayed on artfully chosen twigs at any time of year, autumn in particular! We especially recommend a sprig of twisted hazel for some textural variation and shape.
If your heart lies in the finer details, we’re also showcasing a gorgeous array of beaded decorations. They’re just perfect for Christmastime but we won’t tell anyone if you display them sooner… from adorable hanging polar bears to the show stopping Gunmetal Glass Beaded Snowflake there’s sure to be a little something for everyone’s taste. Having done some research, we found that our little beaded animal decorations are woven using the Peyote stitch. Many cultures globally have used this stitch and examples of the Peyote stitch have been found in artefacts from as far back as Ancient Egypt and also in historic and contemporary Native American beadwork. Beauty, history and culture all woven into one!
If you’re already hankering after those blistering mornings and balmy nights, why not bring the outside in? We’ve got a really lovely selection of urns this season. They’re perfectly weathered for that antique finish and they look gorgeous when showcasing your favourite pot plant or select stems. It’s the best kind of gardening for the autumn and beyond, particularly attractive because you can do it in your pyjamas at any time of day (or night!)…
If you favour practical over pretty, let us remind you that we don’t believe in compromise. This season’s basketware embodies both. Think shallow seagrass baskets with statement, indigo rims, (perfect for house plants) or chunky, end-of-bed lidded baskets, perfect for stowing away all of those summer linens for next year.
There’s a lot to peruse. We’re really proud of the collection that we’ve curated and we’re sure that’ll keep your home feeling timelessly stylish. That said, if we’re allowed favourites, mine is the Round Mirror with Golden Leaves. It’s a complete head turner and is sure to brighten up even the darkest room on the darkest day! Its gold tipped fronds really capture the sunshine that I, for one, will be longing for until next Spring!
