So here we are in 2016, staring down the barrel of another year of trade fairs to proudly show off our new and exciting finds and we just cannot wait. It’s lucky then, that we don’t have to. Of particular note kicking off this year, is our Signature Collection: exquisitely hand painted furniture available in our most popular Vintage Paint colourways and finished to an exceptional standard, coming to a high street near you, soon!
Speaking of Vintage Paint, we have also just introduced a limited run of six new colours (click here to find your nearest stockist), which we know will be a real hit with furniture lovers and restorers alike. Two colour ageing I hear you ask? Just look at #32 Menthe.. this colour couldn’t be more French if it was wearing a stripy t-shirt and beret and smoking a pack of Gauloises, whilst quietly humming the chorus of “La Mer”..
As some of you may know from first hand experience, exhibiting at trade fairs is as exhausting as it is fun. Firstly you have the preparation. Have we received all the right samples in the right finish? Have we painted the wall panels the right colours? Do we have enough manpower to build, dress and man the stand? Who booked the hotels and is there enough parking? Have we booked in the artic/lorry/van with the venue? Sooo much to think about but we always get there (just).
This is of course followed by the fun part – meeting you, our loyal customers (and hopefully many new ones to boot), hearing what has sold well for you in recent months and also what else you would like to see in our range. Reams of sales figures are of course indicative of whether we hit the sweet spot on any given product but hearing stories from ours customers truly does get us motivated to jump on a plane and discover more and more gems. And yes, these treasures are hidden and they are from all 4 corners of the world. Each and every corner (oh p-lease don’t get me started on the culinary delights to be found at such ends of our Earth..).
So it is on this note I leave you with a sneaky peak at our forthcoming stand (looking, err, slightly bare at this stage!), the biggest and best yet to usher in the dawn of what will no doubt prove to be an exhilarating year ahead.
